Lilo and Stitch: An Analysis of Religious and Moral Themes

Nani

lilo_e_stitch_02.jpg

Nani is a woman who has too much on her plate. From a religious standpoint there is not much to say about her. She is simply a girl who has, as she puts it, "a lot to deal with right now". That quote in particular I find endearing, as it is made to David, who tries to ask her out. She does like David, but chooses to see to her responsibilities to Lilo first, which I find to be an admirable trait. She loves Lilo dearly, and will do anything to protect her. Placed into the impossible situation of aliens attacking her house and kidnapping her sister, she copes very well, and her only thoughts are of Lilo.

Nani is a believer in her family. She wants to make it work, and struggles against increasing odds to do so. Her devotion to family is inspiring, as is her quick acceptance of Stitch's true nature, and her tolerance of both Stitch and Lilo for their personality quirks.

If any of the cast members has a web site dedicated to just them, I might include a link to it here.
